What is church management software?
Church management software (also called a church CRM or ChMS) keeps a church's people and activities in one system: who the members and visitors are, who attended which service, what events are coming up, and how to reach everyone. It replaces the membership notebook, the visitor-card basket, the attendance register and the spreadsheet that three people have edited three different ways.
What FaithDash includes
- Member database: one live record per person, with status, tags (Choir, Youth, Ushers…), phone number and biodata. Export it to PDF or Excel.
- Visitor check-in by QR code: visitors scan a code at the entrance and register themselves. No paper cards and no app to install.
- Attendance tracking: check people in for any service or event and see trends over time. It keeps working offline and syncs later.
- Events: one-off and recurring services, fellowships and meetings.
- Built-in SMS: send to all members, visitors only, members only, leaders only, or any tag, with the cost shown before you send.
- Automation: visitor follow-up sequences, event reminders and after-event follow-ups that run on their own.
- Team access: invite staff and volunteers with permissions for each area.
- Multi-church: run several congregations or campuses from one login.

Why a Uganda-first church CRM matters
Most church management software is built for churches in North America or Europe. It's priced in dollars per month, assumes everyone reads email, and treats SMS as an expensive add-on. FaithDash starts from the other end:
| Typical overseas church software | FaithDash | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Monthly subscription, often in USD | Free to use; pay only for SMS sent |
| Main channel | Email and app notifications | SMS, which reaches basic phones |
| Payment | Credit card | Mobile money top-up |
| SMS | Often an add-on or third-party integration | Built in, UGX 35 per part |
| Poor connectivity | Assumes always-online | Offline attendance check-in that syncs later |
Who uses church management software
- Church administrators and secretaries who keep the member list and send announcements.
- Pastors who want to know which visitors came back and which members have drifted.
- Ushers and welcome teams who check people in and register visitors.
- Ministry leaders (choir, youth, women's and men's fellowship) who message their own group.
- Treasurers who top up the SMS balance and want a clear record of what was spent.
Getting started
- Create your church. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.
- Add members. Enter them individually, or paste up to 1,000 phone numbers at once.
- Print your visitor QR code and put it at the entrance.
- Verify your church phone number to unlock 100 free test SMS.
- Turn on a visitor follow-up so every new visitor gets a welcome text the same day.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best church management software in Uganda?
The best fit depends on your church. If you need a member database, visitor follow-up, attendance and SMS in one place, priced in UGX with mobile-money top-ups and no monthly subscription, FaithDash is built specifically for that. It's free to use, and you only pay UGX 35 per SMS part you send.
Is there free church management software?
Yes. FaithDash is free to use, with every feature included: members, visitors, attendance, events, automation and team access. The only cost is the SMS you send, at UGX 35 per part from a prepaid balance, and every church gets 100 free test SMS after verifying its phone number.
Is FaithDash only for large churches?
No. A small fellowship with 30 members uses the same features as a multi-campus parish. Because there's no subscription, a small church only pays for the few SMS it sends.
Does FaithDash work for churches outside Uganda?
Yes. It's Uganda-first, with UGX, mobile money and a local SMS gateway, but the member, attendance, event and automation tools work anywhere, and currency is stored per church.
Is our church data private?
Each church's members, messages and balance are kept separate from every other church's. Inside a church, the owner decides who on the team can add, edit or delete members, and who can send messages.
